Spring Breakaway

For the first time ever, we are offering spring-break trips for 8th grade through high school students! Spring Breakaway includes one day of skiing or snowboarding at Monarch or Wolf Creek, a winter overnighter/peak climb, a rock or ice climbing adventure, and more. It is offered two different weeks which coincide with several Colorado spring-breaks and many others from out of state. Transportation to and from Grand Junction (first week) and Montrose (second week) is also available for a small additional cost.

Skiing & Snowboarding

We'll get up early and make the trek to Monarch or Wolf Creek ski areas. Both of these mountains have some of Colorado's best snow conditions and most enjoyable terrain. Equipment is available at the ski areas for rental, or you may bring your own if you have it.

Winter Peak Ascent

Are you tough enough for a real mountaineering adventure? You'll load up what you need for an overnight, and start up a 5,000 ft climb to the top of Colorado's lowest 14er. We'll camp in snow caves or warm tents, then make an attempt for the beautiful summit the next day.

Ice Climbing

Strap on your harness, helmet, and your crampons, then climb a frozen waterfall. You'll have a rope and an attentive belayer to protect you. The question is do you have the nerves?
