LEAD Institute

Research has shown that one of the greatest needs for the contemporary church is to develop tomorrow’s leaders. That is today’s young people, particularly teens ages 14 to 17. This is the age when most are wrestling with embracing the faith of their parents or launching into new territory and either assuming the fickle beliefs of their friends, a huge pressure today or choosing for themselves Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

Building on the strengths of our existing TNT and JAW programs, LEAD is a new program at Redcloud that addresses this great need to develop Christian Leaders for tomorrow. Using our unique mission to develop Christ-like Character through Challenge, we provide several avenues for young leaders to utilize and increase their spiritual gifts. Each ministry at Redcloud offers a track of the LEAD Institute for teens to choose from to develop their own personal walk with Christ.

TNT (Teens in Training) is a time-tested program we have been running for years, but now with added emphasis in community discipleship, individual discipleship, and servant leadership opportunities working side by side with staff on Adventure programs, youth kitchen and campus operations. Not only will you receive strong Biblical teaching on the Gospel, you will get a chance to live it and put it into practice.

ATC (Alive To Christ) is a new opportunity to spend 2 weeks focusing on 3 key goals: leadership, service, and discipleship.These goals will focus on understanding influence in our lives and equipping teens for Godly influence through the gospel. Within these 2 weeks, teens will engage in team development using the deep wilderness, as well as focused time together to accomplish the LEAD mission.

FMGs (Family Mountain Getaways) offer opportunities to serve people of all ages from infants to grandparents by doing everything from cooking breakfast to cleaning our guests' rooms. Coming to experience an FMG means that you will be able to have a personal relationship with our spiritually mature summer staff and grow closer to Christ in our discipleship program. During your time at Redcloud, you will have the chance to be challenged by our exciting activities including (but not limited to) peak hikes, white-water rafting, rappelling, high ropes, and mountain biking. FMG offers 3 sessions.

The JAW program gives enthusiastic young equestrians the opportunity to see what being a wrangler at Camp Redcloud is all about. We will balance participant’s time here between three main components- hands on service, spiritual growth, and challenging horsemanship skills. JAW offers 3 week sessions and 4 week sessions.
