Summer at Camp Redcloud means warm, sunny days and cool nights. Since we are at an elevation of 9200 feet, our climate is cooler than that of lower elevations. We recommend that you bring more clothes for cooler weather than for warmer weather. Also, afternoon thunderstorms are HIGHLY likely at this time of year. Please keep this in mind when selecting shoes and clothing. Don't bring anything that you are not allowed to get dirty!
Below is a suggested list of things to bring to camp. Do not go out and spend a lot of money if you do not have all of the items already, but the items in bold are a must. If you have any questions, please give us a call.

Any medications (including over-the-counter medications such as TUMS and Tylenol) must be listed on the camper health form so that we have permission to dispense when needed. Prescribed medication MUST BE in the original container from a licensed pharmacy, labeled with the name, address, and phone number of the pharmacy, name of camper, name and strength of the medication, directions for use, date filled, prescription number, and the name of practitioner prescribing the medication. Over-the-counter medications must be in the original container, with the camper’s name clearly written on the container. If child has more than one medication, please place them together in a labeled Ziplock bag.
Things NOT to bring: (You’ll be fine without them for the week!)
- Electronic devices like walkmans, ipods, and game boys
- Cell phones (There isn’t cell service here anyway)
- Camp Redcloud works towards building relationships with God and others. We also love to spend time enjoying God’s creation. These kinds of devices tend to be distractions as we learn and grow.
