This trip is ideal for anyone aspiring to become a competent backcountry traveler or guide. You'll learn hands-on the basics of backpacking, navigation, camp-craft, and outdoor leadership.

Skills Taught Include:

  • Outdoor Leadership Skills
  • Map & Compass Navigation
  • Campsite Selection & Management
  • Backcountry Cooking & Meal Prep
  • Environmental Stewardship and Leave-no-Trace principles

Spiritual Content for WLT includes:

  • Evening worship times and time in God's Word
  • Daily opportunities for a Morning quiet-time in God's Word
  • Life-on-life contact that uses metaphors and teachable moments of the wilderness setting to convey spiritual truth.

College credit is available for an extra fee. This course has been approved for 2 Physical Education / or Elective Credits from Montana Bible College (MBC). MBC is currently seeking national accreditation. Many other schools already accept their credits.
