TNT Program Staff

RESPONSIBLE TO: TNT Director
WAGES: Stipend + room and board while campers are here, or raise personal support

JOB SUMMARY: TNT Program staff are individuals who are hired to work primarily with the TNT Discipleship Program. This involves developing relationships with the TNTs through daily work crews and camp activities, and challenging these young people to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ by living a life of obedience to the Word of God.

QUALIFICATIONS: TNT Staff must:

  1. Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and possess a desire/commitment to serve Him and other people.
  2. Be at least 21 years of age.
  3. Preferably hold a multimedia Red Cross first aid certificate or equivalent and a cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate. (May be obtained during staff training.)
  4. Be able to teach and communicate effectively.
  5. Have an ability/desire to learn new skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To continue in your own faith with God through daily quiet times, sharing with other Christians, and being involved in regular worship.
  2. To make a consistent effort to get to know the TNTs better by working with them on work crews and consciously spending recreational time with them.
  3. To be sensitive to each individual TNT's needs and to take time to help them through their problems so that they know that they are more important to you than the task at hand.
  4. To keep in touch with the TNTs after they leave.
  5. To challenge the TNTs physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
  6. To oversee crews of TNTs as they accomplish their assigned tasks.
  7. To motivate the teens to accomplish their tasks on time and with excellence.
  8. To sleep in the dorms with the TNTs, ensuring that curfews are kept and the dorms are kept clean.
  9. To be competent at the skills necessary to provide a secure environment for the guests during their trip.
  10. To participate in clean-up duties and other preperatory work prior to the group's arrival and in clean-up duties after their departure.
  11. To be a contributing member of the Camp Redcloud staff by lending support and encouragement.
  12. To attend all staff meetings and Bible Studies.
  13. To complete other duties as assigned.

CAMP REDCLOUD'S RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Offer weekly staff Bible Studies.
  2. Provide opportunity to attend church in Lake City on Sunday morning or a worship service at Camp.
  3. Give opportunity to talk with leadership staff about any personal questions.
  4. Train all program staff in the philosophy and policies of Camp.
  5. Maintain an atmosphere which allows for easy communication and freedom to clear up misunderstandings.
