Mark grew up in Illinois, spent 5 years in Colorado, and has lived in Oregon the past 9 years. Mark is married to Sarah and they have three wonderful children, Malachi, Tatianna and Elijah.

Mark is excited to be back at Redcloud. He worked at the camp from 1992 - 96. His love for the outdoors and his passion to work with young people underlie his strong desire to serve in Wilderness Ministry. God has also used Redcloud to do amazing things in Mark’s life during his prior service.

Mark graduated from high school in 1988. His experience includes serving as a Counselor at Redcloud, helping build a Wilderness Ministry in New Zealand and Serving at Reachout Expeditions Ministry, where he later became Program Coordinator. He has worked as a Rock, Raft, Backpacking, Challenge Course and Mountaineering Guide for the past 14 years of his life. Mark believes his “soul” purpose is seeing young people reached for the Lord.

Mark is responsible for overseeing the Wilderness and TNT Programs at Redcloud.

We are funded by a combination of camper fees, scholarships, and gifts from individuals and churches. All of our full-time staff raise personal support in order to serve here at Redcloud.
